Jane Stouffer Williams Gallery
The Jane Stouffer Williams Exhibit Room in the Studio Gallery produces monthly shows. February and March are given over to displays of art by children in local schools. One-person or Group shows occur occasionally. Most months are exhibits of members work in themed or free exhibitions. Entries for these exhibits are open without jurying, but are generally judged with ribbons awarded. Opening receptions for exhibits are on the First Friday of each month.
RAL’s home is a cooperative gallery for it’s membership. The gallery is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Apart from the studio managers it is run by volunteers. Many events take place in the gallery including forums, workshops and receptions. The gallery also provides a creative environment for artists to draw, paint and photograph together, share new techniques and refine their artistic skills in a relaxed, informal setting.
Painting and drawing groups meet regularly at the Studio Gallery to share experience, techniques and critiques. Mondays brings live models for Portrait and Figure sessions. Tuesday Painters get together on the eponymous day. Third Wednesdays finds the Experimental Group to share critiques. Fourth Thursdays are for Still Life drawing and painting.
